I accidentaly used a bleach pen to try and get the stains out of my concert shirt (with emblems on it). Now there is no way to get the blasted stains out, and I've decided to bleach the entire shirt. But I don't know how it will effect the shirt or what to use to bleach it.

Sodium Hydrosulfite is the color stripping agent we mentioned when we asked you to consider removing the color from your garment and redying it. It's safe for the environment, and it's extremely effective. It might just be ecologically safe equivalent of chlorine bleach. Rit Color Remover is a good example of such a product.
After removing the color, if you decide to use a different color, then just choose one from the Rit collection.
Reply:If possible, remove the emblems and get some blue dye and dye it back...........You will bleach the emblems too......they should be easy to put back with a needle and thread,,,,,,,,
Reply:DON'T bleach the whole thing. I did this once and it eventually the shirt fell apart from what they call "bleach rot" and the decal got dry and crackled. My daughter's friend accidentally got bleach on hers. We took it outside and used a squirt bottle to spray droplets all over it, let it sit a few minutes (15 or so) and then washed it. It had a speckled, unique look to it.

!!!!!!!! Bleach Emergency Please Help !!!!!!!!!?
My cousin without my knowing borrowed my gorgeous white top and got a stain on it.....she then tried bleaching the top with DOMESTOS HOUSEHOLD BLEACH to try and get it off!!!!!
She then went and rinsed it to hide the smell but now my top has gone BRIGHT ORANGE where she put the bleach!!!
I'm really upset because I was going to wear this top tomorrow, I've put it in the wash, do you think that will get rid of the orange???
Also, it has a "thin hem" if you know what I mean, I wanted to just buy this top and wear it, but now I'm washing it I'm worried the hem will turn / roll up.....any ideas please???!!!!

Reply:I'm betting that your article of clothing is permanently damaged and discolored; i wouldn't even try to salvage it. Bleach is a dangerous and powerfully corrosive substance, and your cousin should not even be allowed to get near it.

The only thing you can do is keep soaking in cold water to remove the smell and rid the Domestos. Then dye the the blouse orange, You never know it might look good after it´s been dyed. if not give it to your cousin, and tell her next time she wishes to borrow any clothes belonging to you ,Ask

You could throw in wash with white Ritz 'dye' but sounds like that spot will still show thru. Depending on placement of the spot, perhaps have a fabric decal you could put over it.

Can hair bleach cause rashes?
I got my hair bleached about 3 weeks ago and now i am broke out on the arms and hands with a red rash. The rash first appeared on my face about 6 days after the bleaching. But now it has worked it's way down to my arms and hands. My hair is now in need of another bleaching but i am afraid to do it because I'm not sure if I'm gonna break out from it again. Please help me. Does anyone know if hair bleach causes rashes?

as far as doing an allergy test with the dye, you check it after 24hrs, then again after 48hrs, so that wouldn't have helped if it appeared 6 days later. a reaction usually happens alot sooner than that.

If it does turn out to be the bleach, consult your dr. first, then your hair stylist or a beauty supply store like Sally's for a more natural/not so harsh product. You are going to want to find out where your problem is first before you consider more treatment for your hair (I know that roots are anoying but your health is more important). It could be that you are alergic to something in the air since the seasons are changeing. Alot of times when we are children we dont have alergies, and as we grow into adults we develop them. I started getting seasonal alergies when I was 25. Just make sure to put your health first and everything will work out fine. Good Luck :)

Why is white bleached flour ubiquitously in breads and other baked goods in the US?
White bleached flour has virtually no nutrients, but is used as the main ingredient in most baked products. Why do we have to bleach flour when the bleaching process depletes flour of most of its nutrients? Why don't we use whole wheat flour in all of our breads, cookies and baked goods? I find that even in fancy, expensive restaurants, white bleached flour is commonly used instead of the much healthier organic, whole wheat flour. Is there something political about eating white flour? White flour has little fiber and vitamins and surely contributes to 2 of the biggest killers, cancer and heart disease, in this country. I also noticed that medical doctors, including my own, don't tell their patients to avoid white bleached flour. I know someone with a colon condition which was in part due to the lack of fiber in his diet whose doctor didn't tell him to avoid white flour baked goods. I find this strange because this caveat is well known among nutritionists and Eastern medicine doctors.

They put in manufactured vitamins in bleached flour (the bleaching doesn't remove the vitamins and fiber, it's the refining or removing of bran and germ that does that) to make up for it but they mess it up. Big companies are evil.

Its bleached with chlorine, through animal bones, then synthetic animal derived vitamins are add it to it, calling it "enriched" Sounds like a load of silly, useless gargage to me-why not just thresh the wheat and serve it up in its whole grain form? And what about white sugar? Table salt? They go through the same process. Its crazy and makes no sense. I developed an allergy to wheat, most likely because of all the crap in it, as opposed to the wheat itself! Doctors are NEVER going to give information to make a patient healthy-just a pill, and instructions for a repeat visit-for their boat payment. If doctors actually made people well by arming them with advice about improving health through diet, they would be out of business. I spent 12 years in agonizing, crippling pain, being sent from University after University, clinic after clinic, specialist after specialist-all gave me more meds, and NOT ONE every mentioned diet-I healed when I figured it out for myself

Bleaching hair twice within a week.?
I bleached my hair Sunday (the 11th) and I plan on bleaching it again on Friday. The reason why I'm doing this is because I colored my hair after bleaching it and it became an orange color. I want to bleach it again and use a toner this time. Will bleaching it again kill my hair?
This is what I plan on doing:
1. Bleach hair to get to pale yellow stage
2. Apply toner
3. Bleach to color of choice
4. Add highlights
My hair is surprisingly healthy even though I bleached it yesterday. I don't really notice any difference from before %26amp; after bleaching ( I didn't use conditioner either). So, should I go for it?

Never bleach your hair twice in a week. You've already destroyed it, you'll make it worse. Your hair need time . It would be best to wait at least a month. Usually, the orange color will have faded by then.

You should go to a salon and get it done professionally. It will cost you more, but they'll do it correctly.
Plus, always condition your hair when you get it processed. Processed hair becomes more porous and brittle. Conditioner helps to mitigate the damage.

i know from experience my hair got so thin and it started falling out and now im waiting for my hair to get long again it took it a year to get completely heathy again

but because i went through it and it sucks when your hair falls out and gets really weak it takes a while to get it heathy again
