Alternative to bleaching hair?
Be careful with the do-it-yourself products. I went to school with a natural brunette who went the Sun-In route. She did it over the summer, and when she returned to school in the fall, her hair literally glowed, like it was a reflector - really pretty awful. That was in 7th grade. By the time we graduated high school six years later, she was still blonde. Her natural color was beginning to come back, but she was still blonde. I've known other people who turned their hair into straw or wool from do-it-yourself bleach and/or dye jobs. If you do it yourself, use something mild.

Truly, your best bet is to consult a professional beautician/colorist.
Reply:LEMON JUICE OR KOOL AID!!! THEY WORK BELIEVE ME!!! I SWEAR
Reply:if your wanting blond hair hair try this stuff called sun in it naturally highlights your hair and the more you use it the lighter it gets they sell it at walmart stores and ive heard lemon juice works
Reply:you can buy hair dye that washes out in 6 to 12 shampoos and contains no ammonia check the shelf along with the regular dyes.
Reply:nope..you can do lowlights...where you simply ADD color rather than stripping it away...then your natural hair color becomes the "highlights"....it's really pretty..

plus, over time it'll probably fade...do a semi permanent color, so you can just try it out until you find the shade you like

good luck!

or if you want lighter hair...use extension hair pieces..
