Bleaching black hair?

Ok so I plan on bleaching my black hair. Andd lets say it turns orange.





then if I dyed it a dark brown will it turn out?

I did this same thing like a week ago. I dyed my hair black a while back and didn't like it so tryed to fade it. When it started fading it was blueish grey. I bleached it and it turned orange and yellow and my roots were white. I got a semi permanent light golden brown at the advice of sally's and it didn't cover it at all. It was still orange. I have also in the past stripped a dark color from my hair with similar results. The only way to cover it is a very dark, almost black semi permanent color. I really hate going to salons but I ended up having to and my hair had to be colored back dark with semi permanent and gradually highlighted to a lighter color.


I know it is possible to strip or bleach black out at home but I have never had any luck!

Reply:no matter what, when working with very dark hair, get it done by a PROFESSIONAL. Besides that, be careful because your hair could break quite easily. The color may turn out, but it could easily go terribly wrong.
Reply:I personally dont think you should bleach it...maybe try highlights =)
Reply:If you do plan on bleaching, I think a professional would advise against it. But, if you still want to do it, you should not put dye on top of it, because your hair will be over processed and damaged.





If it does get damaged, you will have to cut it all off, because it may start falling out...basically you'll have to grow it out and start over!





I'm in favor of trying highlights...like using some reds.
Reply:If you would like to bleach your hair when you have black hair I would say the only choice you have is to see a hair stylist and let him/her do it.





I have had my expirence and it was not so good:





Before I was a hairstylist I went to target and bought hair dye. I had medium brown hair already.So I was careless and bought the package and when I applyed it my hair turned out orange!It just was horrible!





If you want to go buy the package and have it turn out orange.Then mabey you should also get another package of the color you actually want to have.Because orange will turn out the color you want.
