Is it ok to bleach hair again after bleaching it recently?

I tried bleaching my hair a couple of days ago to make it brown, but I think the bleach didn't work well because I bought the product a year ago. I have black hair and I left it in for 2 hours and only random parts turned very slightly brown. I want to bleach it again with new bleach, but I heard that you need to wait a certain amount of time before doing it again or it's really bad for your hair. What should I do?

When you bleach your hair you tend to strip your hair of vital oils and nutrients that make it healthy, and using product that was expired probably caused some damage. Your hair needs time to repair and replenish its natural oils. The best thing to do is to not wash your hair every single day, perhaps every other day if you can stand it. In order to be safe and sure, two weeks is what my colorist has recommended, but if your hair feels healthy enough, you might be able to try again after a week.
