Belly Button Piercings and Bleaching Tummy?

I have little tummy hairs that I bleach every month or so and I was planning on getting my belly button pierced soon. If I continue to bleach, should I take out the piercing? Should I leave it in? Would it be harmful to continue bleaching? What should I do when I get to this point? Thank you.

Belly Button Piercings and Bleaching Tummy?
Bleach will irritate the piericng when it's fresh (an most likely when it's healed too). If you can. don't bleach for the first couple of months after getting it done. If you have to, make sure to avoid the area around the piercing, you don't want to get bleach on it. Taking the jewelry out won't be an option for at least 6 months, and even then, it's the hole in your skin that's the problem, not the jewelry.
Reply:You shouldn't get the piercing if you plan on continuing the bleach. If or when you get it pierced, wait until its COMPETELY healed... 4-6 months for belly button, before using bleach again, but make sure to take it out before bleaching and completely clean all bleach off the area.
Reply:wax it off maybe?
Reply:you might want to try waxing. waxing actually pulls the hair roots out, and besides hiding it from bleaching it, the hair is actually gone. it doesn't grow fast, like if you were to shave it. and eventually hair will stop growing on your tummy by using hte wax, b/c the wax pulls the roots out, like i said earlier. good luck.
Reply:I think you should wax. It won't harm the piercing, and it will get rid of the hair for awhile.
Reply:I have my belly pierced for about 5 years now, and I would have to say the bleach would be harmful and could make it very infected! I had to wash with antibacterial soap and couldn't use lotions or powders....mines got infected twice for throwing powders down my shirt, so I could just about imagine what the bleach would do! After about 4 to 9 months it will heal...you can do what you want then!
