BLEACHING YOUR HAIR BLONDE question!?

you know how your hair goes from dark, to reddish, to copper, to yellow to light blonde?

well if you leave it in for like, 80 minutes, and it's at it's "copper/yellow" stage, should i just leave it in more so it gets blonder? or is 80 minutes too long and should i stop there? (i really don't want to fry my hair).

thanks!

p.s. if you've seen my other bleaching questions everywhere, i'm really sorry i keep posting Q's like this, i just really need good answers! thank you :)

BLEACHING YOUR HAIR BLONDE question!?
Yes just leave it in for another 10 minutes dark hair in order to be blonde has to have the lightening mixture in it for at 90 minutes if it gets lighter it is safe to leave it in for an addtional 10 minutes after 90 minutes have elapsed. However if it is still the at the copper/yellow stage after you leave in the mixture for another 10 minutes just rinse out the mixture because something wrong might have happen and wait for a couple of days before putting any more color in your hair just to give your hair some time to heal. After a couple of days have gone by you can still go blonde but do not bleach because it will damage your hair since your hair might still be at the copper yellow stage just put a regular blonde color over it. It will do wonders. What I recommend is that you do an ash base to eliminate any copper tones in your hair. The best color would be the Revlon Colorsilk #81 Light Ash Blonde it is a beautiful all over blonde that is gentle enough to use on bleached hair just leave the color 5-10 minutes longer than the package says so about 30-35 minutes and your hair will be blonde. You will be blonde regardless using the plain blonde color is just cutting corners.
Reply:depends on what bleaching agent you use i sometimes use peroxide and leave it in for like an hour and it seems to work good
Reply:if i were u i would just got to the salon because when u do home bleachin u can really F**k up ya hair...i mean u lose ur pigment and its very damagin...and i would think leavin it on for 80 minutes would kill ur hair real talk...so if i were u boo i would just go to the salon tell em u want ur hair blonde...then come home or have them dye it wateva brighter color u want...cause i asked that question last night...and i just decieded to dye it with out the bleach and it turned out pretty cool
Reply:I think your best bet would be to go to a professional and have it done the first time. As you can really do damage not only to your hair (breakage, etc.) you can also harm your scalp with sores and blisters if you leave the lightening agent on too long. To be on the safe side see a professional and let them take you through the steps. It may save you the cost of doctor bills, or the price of a good hair piece in the future.
Reply:I am a licensed professional hairstylist and salon owner and I tell my clients never attempt anything at home, because when you come see me to fix it it will not only cost you more but it cost more life stripped out of your hair. Going from black to blond is a gradual stage. You should ABSOLUTELY NOT attempt this in one day. Your hair will defiantly all fall out if it doesn't turn into one big mesh ball of slimy, ratty hair.
Reply:You know, you really do need to have the professionals help you with this one. Your hair has sooo much red pigment in it that it has to be bleached several times before it reaches the right level. Leaving the bleach (whatever you use) on more than 80 mins. could blister your scalp and other horrors. Also , this will be a very expensive procedure. Your out-growth will show up in as little as 2 wks. (cause it's dark) Do you really want to go through the expense of touchups? What the salon will probably do is several bleach applications, to the pale yellow stage, and then put a toner (which washes out soon) on. which will be a blonde color of your choice. However, like I said , this is something that means touchups , and expense. Are you ready for that?
Reply:I am a Hair Designer and I cant emphasize enough, you need to go to a professional Hair Designer who specializes in color.
Reply:honestly i've tried it and i advice u not to! it will really damage ur hair ! u can start by doing highlights , blonde, then after lets say month add some more and so on till ur hair is all blonde
Reply:um lol i think i said red was the hardest to get out..or that might have been another question..i unno..but..ur hair was going to get damaged by bleaching it anyways. %26amp; if that is u in ur picture you have black hair..%26amp; usually when ppl have dark hair like that it is like impossible to do that. should have just taken smaller sections of hair n applied the bleach like that. evverytime i have bleached i have put a diff shade of blonde over it bc it hardly is ever one solid color after bleaching.i would take it off if i were u. i have never left it on past 50 min.just put a color over it or..wash it off n take small sections %26amp; make sure the bleach doesnt get all over the hair that has been bleached. wether u try it today or tomorrow it doesnt matter.ur hair is gonna be damaged either way.
