If you have black hair, and are bleaching it, how long do you keep the bleach in?

So I'm dying my friends hair, and her hair is a dark, dark, brown color.. And I'm bleaching it. So how long do you think we have to wait to get it to turn bleach, bleach, blond?

just leave it till the bleach isn't working anymore. you'll probably have to reapply qiute a few times. you really should go to a salon tho. also, try on some wigs so you can describe the blonde you're thinking of. terms like warm/ cool make all the difference in blonde.

Reply:Not a good idea ... you can't go from dark to bleach blond! It would really damage the hair. If she really wants what won't work anyways (I used to have black hair, it took me about half a year to get light blond) she should get it done in a hairsalon. If you do it you would screw up her hair really bad .... If you put the bleach on her hair she will have orange hair!
