Thinking of bleaching my hair..?

hello allll, ive been trying to grow my reddy browny dark blondey hair out for ages,i have quite alot of natural root now,but having multi colour hair is going my head in, i used to have black hair and tryed to bleach it, it went wrong i put more dyes on etc etc, and got left with browny reddy blondey hair, decided i wasnt gonna dye it again. anyway havent touched my hair for about 6months,but as i said, multi colour hair is doing my head in, i was thinking of bleaching it? would it...work? lol i dont want another hair disaster!!

Thinking of bleaching my hair..?
I am going through the same thing unless you want short hair I honestly would just let it grow out and THEN color it IF you still want to because if you continue to color it you're just gonna be up in the same situation when you don't want it bleached anymore or when you realize how much damage has been done to your hair and you have 3 inch roots, it's an ongoing process and the only way to get healthy hair is to color it on virgin(natural hair) oh and red color is the hardest to bleach out (and color strippers smell like boiled eggs and will only make it a light pink color as well as lighten the rest of your hair at least two shades lighter to a mustard color-then you'll really have multi-colors)so if you're intending to get it all bleached(unfortunately) you will be needing to cut it off after it's white and turns to straw or have damaged orange hair. And while going to a salon will tell you what needs to be done...they will sell you almost everything you'd like to hear(like oh girl I can fix that and make you look hot!)so they can get you in their chair for the mula. They'll must likely trim it and color it and you'll still have to get your roots done over and over again."beautician, not a magician"
Reply:Pleeeaaaase go to a good salon. They can advise you based on your hair type and color. Do NOT do it yourself or it'll be an emergency again, especially with bleach! They have the right toner for you at the salon... Good luck :)
Reply:Bleach thy hair my child!! So that it becomes fair and golden like the hair of Baby Jesus Himself!
Reply:use sun in
Reply:Do not bleach it! Dye it a color CLOSEST to your root color and continue to do so until the multi color has grown out. Get hair cuts every 4-6 weeks to speed the growth. After somet ime your hair will be its NATURAL color, and you can decide where to go with it from there.
Reply:You would have to spend a lot of time and money at the salon to bleach your hair and it is very high maitenence and expensive, plus it is bad for your hair. Try maybe getting a bleached highlight maybe to blend with the other colors in your hair. Bleach is not something to be taken lightly and I wouldn't reccomend an at-home experiment.
Reply:go get born blonde ultra blue and leave it on your hair for about 45 minutes it will do the trick and not mess up your hair my mom uses it all the time and all her friends have tried it to get her hair color and they have had no problems out of it
Reply:I used to dye my hair dark brown and when you try to bleach it goes orange or like straw some salons can give you a colour stripper and thenn your hair can be colored again i wouldnt recomend doing it yourslf go to a salon and get a proffesional opinion and see what they can do for you.
Reply:Would guess no on the bleach front god only knows what colour you will end up with. I would visit a salon they can give you some good advise and work out which colour to do for the best.

I was bleach blonde for years and decided to go back to my natural brown hair colour. I simply visited a salon who stained it and then dyed it for me to match my roots. I then continued this for about six months to the stage where my hair is now all one colour and I no longer need to dye it.
Reply:learn from your mistakes in the past..this time go to a salon and have it professionally done.....this way no hair diasters
Reply:my friend bleached his hair - it looked awful but he was a boy so make your own decision
Reply:u need to lighten your hair first. but would recommed going to a salon.

i done the same thing!!!!!!!!!
Reply:Don't put to much in, I believe it could damage your hair, if you do it to often.
Reply:putting bleach on yr hair takes all the goodness out of it and your hair feels awfull your better off going to the salon and getting them to do it properley at least that way you will have no emergancy
Reply:go to a salon and see a hair specialist - they'll advise you to take the best course of action for your hair.
Reply:try bleaching it back to black. ask your hairdressers if they think this would work and it's best to have it done proffessionaly. if you do get it black and decide you want more colour in it, my friends got layers and has the bottem layer died red, it looks fab on her!
Reply:you really need to go to the hairdressers and ask them to strip the colour from your hair using a bleachbath. this will strip all the colour from your hair and allow the new colour to cover evenly. hope this helps. if not try lots of blond highlights using a home kit, this will give you even coverage without the obvious root regrowth. sarahx
