My hair is currently dark brown. i know i would probably have to bleach my hair to ge the blonde, because the brown is really dark.

Is there a way to go blonde without bleaching? because i heard of a way, but i dont think its true.

Also, how would I got about bleaching my hair at home?

What would I need?

Bleaching hair?
I was a brunette most of my life, then decided to bleach my hair myself.

I tried blonde colour, but that didn't work.

So I got a bleaching kit from the drug store hair colour aisle and it worked. But it fried my hair and it started breaking and splitting - it looked like a head of straw.

So my hairdresser cut the bad stuff off and I spent a year growing it back out.

From that time on, I have my hairdresser bleach my roots for me once a month and I have long, shiny, great blonde hair.

Take it from one that learned the hard way, don't do it yourself. You won't like the results and your hair will not be healthy. Nothing tackier than a bleached straw-head.
Reply:Bleaching it is the only way to go from a dark brown to a light blonde.

Bleach kits are available at pretty much any pharmacy or grocery store for $8-$12. They have everything you would need to bleach your hair.

I would also suggest a hot oil treatment or extra conditioning treatments. Although bleach kits include a conditioner, bleaching your hair is very very harsh on your hair.
Reply:well you could put lemon juice in it as crazy as it sounds it works or theres a salon.it makes it lighter at least.
Reply:Apply Hydrogen Peroxide ( H2 O2 ), little quantity, a good and purest quality, inform the pharmacist the purpose. Take extra care wile applying.

But personally i do not recommend bleaching, considering long time effects ( both your hair and personal health ), Be natural. Good luck.
