Bleaching hair?

A few weeks ago I attempted to put to black streaks in my hair, and they turned out purple, now they have faded and I want to get rid of them, from my understanding I can only do this by bleaching my hair, what is the best brand to bleach hair with? does L'oreal or any other brand have a bleaching kit?

Also I tried covering the streaks up with normal hair dye (which I learned that you cant color over a color with another color lol)

Is this correct?? or could I just try using the hair dye I have at home.....my hair is blonde also

thanks in advance :)

Bleaching hair?
first i would like to say that the best remedy for this is to go to a stylist. it is worth the money.

if you are against this, you can go to a beauty supply store (such as sally's) and get some hair bleach. redken is a good brand to go with.

it is going to be difficult but you are going to have to keep the streaks seperate from the rest of you hair, so that the bleach won't bleed. foils would be a good idea.

if you do it at home, keep in mind that it is not going to bleach out evenly. you will have to cover the streaks with toner or color when they light enough. you are not going to be able to get black streaks blonde immediately. you will most likely end up with orange-y brown streaks.

bleach is very damaging if used incorrectly, so if you must do it yourself do it with caution. don't ruin your hair if you don't have to.

again, a professional stylist is your best move. good luck with it.
