Bleaching hair wait time..?

I want to dye my hair a light golden brown. Im bleaching it right now. What stage of bleaching do i have to get to? Maybe a yellow color?

Stop as fast as you can. I just bleached my hair about 3 weeks ago and I left it on for 5 min. and it damaged my hair. It was as well after I was done bleaching it, a yellow color. My hair is breaking off still. I wanted to lighten and I had dark brown hair. So I bleached it first so I could color it with a light red brown and am I sorry I did. I should of known better. I hope this doesn't happen to you. Make sure you condition it very much. The bleach eats right through the pigments and becomes hollow inside. Good luck.
Reply:i have never died my hir but i think what you do is die it very slowly step by step. so you dont go past the color you want. probably dont go all the way to yellow

i would try coloring it first before bleaching it








the middle of your hair will be the darkest color when you bleach


the scalp area comes up the fastest so be careful


time wise..


it goes faster with heat


put some aluminum foil on the middle section of your hair and use a blow dryer on it.. that should speed that section up


there is no exact science with bleach.. everyone's hair is different

and yes.. you don't need to go but a few shades lighter than your own color and the peroxide in the hair color may take the color to the point where you want it
