Bleaching Hair Help?

My hair is died dark brown, it is natuarly a mousy blonde color! I really want it bleached blonde! But i will have to let my dark brown grow out first? How long will this take? And if i keep bleaching my roots will my hair ever fall out or anything?? thanks x

If your hair is strong and healthy enough then you can beach it out, but it may take a two or three applications before you get the color you want and also you will need to use a toner after wards. I also recommend that you do a few deep conditioning treatments before you start any of the bleaching. If you bleach it more than once you need to wait 24 hours between applications. Your hair will not fall out from beaching your roots but you do need to be careful of not overlapping the bleach on your previously bleached hair or it can break off. If you let your color grow out it will grow approximately half an inch per month. I recommend a professional to do the job! Good Luck!

Reply:No the dark brown does not need to be grown out first. But it must be removed before the bleaching and or highlighting is done. This is not a job for you to attempt. When bleaching is done properly the chance of damage is greatly reduced. Please look for a color correction specialist. They will talk to you about options, cost, time involved and of course maintenance. Maybe just removing the dark and heavily highlighting through would be a better option than a full head bleach.
