bleaching your hair i know can turn out to be a disaster. but how do i do it safely so all my hair won't fall out? or do w/e bad things beaching can do to it. but i want/need to know because during the summer my hair is going to get cut really short (so it's like, 2 inches or so) and probably bleached. i will not be doing it myself though luckily.
Bleaching?
Your best bet is to go to a salon, they do this all the time. They would have more knowledge about your hair, whether its thick, thin, damaged, etc. They will advise on the best thing for your hair.
Reply:Do it at your hair salon. Depending on your hair color, if you do it at home, either a, your hair will fall out or be really damages or b, it could turn really brassy and orange. So go to a professional if you are going more than 2 shades lighter or 2 darker.
Reply:If you have heathly hair you should have no promblems.i would get chunks of highlighted blond hair with a toner if your hair is dark. it will look great for summer.
Reply:Go to a salon! I done it myself and my hair broke off. I had long hair and i had to cut it short :(
Reply:You can do it yourself. Just buy the kit. Follow the instructions. It won't fall out. Just remember to keep checking it every now and then. Hair doesn't fall out unless all the pigment has been stripped. I doubt that would happen with a kit. If you don't let it get too white you should be all right.
Reply:try using a 40vol. with a process time of 30mins.- altho the darker your hair is naturally, the more longer the bleach will need to process and the more damage it will do.
you could start using treatments and salon shampoos/conditioners to get your hair healthy now before you bleach it.
and since bleach is pretty much stripping colour pigmentations from your hair - there isnt really an alternative that will stop the damage - but treatments etc. can keep the damage minimal.
if you have an problems/worries/concerns speak to your hairdresser.
xx
also - is your hair curly? i once bleached a girl with curly-ish hair about 2inches long and when it dried she looked like a cotton ball xD
